Are you currently unable to book train tickets online? You are not alone. One day after the great rail strike, the online booking system of Deutsche Bahn seems to be refusing to work. In the DB Navigator app you can call up past bookings and current tickets, However, no information about new journeys was received. It is also not possible to book a ticket. If you search for a connection, you only get the message “Request failed (FAIL)“. No bookings can be made on the website either. After entering the start and destination station, you only get the message “Unfortunately, the desired connection to the server could not be established (S1)“. In general, if you have problems with the online booking, you should make sure that a mobile internet connection exists on the smartphone. Without internet you cannot access the Deutsche Bahn ticket system with the app.
