Today Sony published an overview of the most successful PS5 and PS4 games in the PlayStation Store. This shows that several newcomers made it into the top 20 in May.
This week Sony released the official overview about the most successful PS5 and PS4 games of the past month on the PlayStation Store.
IO Interactives secured both North America and Europe „007 First Light“ reached the top of the download charts in May 2026 – even though the game was only included in the recording for a few days due to the late release date. Also celebrated a successful sales start „LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight“which came in second place behind “007 First Light” in North America and Europe.
The top 3 in Europe are completed by Rockstar Games’ open-world long-running hit „GTA 5“which, according to official information, is now spreading worldwide sold more than 230 million copies.
How did Mixtape and Directive 8020 start?
Once again in the top 20 is Housemarque’s roguelite shooter, which was released at the end of April „Saros“which according to analysts sales got off to a slow start and ranked 13th on the European download charts last month. The sales figures for the horror title also apparently fell manageably „Directive 8020“ out of.
The latest work from the British studio Supermassive Games was released for the PS5 on May 12, 2026 and follows “Saros” at number 14. The indie title started more successfully „Mixtape“which made it into the top 10 at number 9.
There are no big surprises in the PS4 and Free2Play charts in May 2026. In Europe, things developed here once again „Red Dead Redemption 2“ and the battle royale shooter „Fortnite“ among the most successful games.
Also „Star Wars Battlefront 2“ and „Roblox“ continue to enjoy great popularity. Below are the European download charts for the different platforms.
