What feels like just a blink of an eye after the big update 1.10, Pearl Abyss is already pushing the next update for “Crimson Desert”. Hotfix 1.10.01 is now available for download, which irons out some nasty bugs that slipped into the game with yesterday’s patch.
Anyone who thought Pearl Abyss would turn out after the successful launch of „Crimson Desert“ – five million sales in less than four weeks – rest first, I made a big mistake. The South Korean studio releases update after update on a weekly basis, not only eliminating errors but also regularly adding new content to the game.
So it was only yesterday that the extensive Update 1.10 rolled outwhich, among other things, brought wyvern riding and new mini-games like pinball to Pywel. But as is often the case with such rapid replenishment, a few bugs tend to creep in.
But Pearl Abyss doesn’t let the community down here either – and today it immediately submitted hotfix 1.10.01.
No more crashes when teleporting and breeding
The most important point on the developers’ agenda was, of course, stability. After yesterday’s update, some players complained about sudden game crashes when they wanted to use fast travel across the abyssal nexuses or plunged into heated battles. But this cause of the crash was, according to the official patch notes completely fixed.
A very specific but extremely annoying error related to the new Wyvern feature is also history: Anyone who wanted to hatch eggs near the Wyvern cradle also often flew back to the dashboard of their console. The developers have also successfully driven out the error devil here.
A strange bug also affected those who had already swung onto the back of their newly grown dragon companion. If you reached a certain altitude with the Wyvern, an error message popped up – but in Korean. After the hotfix, the game now speaks the correct language again.
Annoying path blockages solved
In addition, the patch optimizes collision detection in the game world. Until now, it has occasionally happened that Kliff’s movement was completely blocked by actually tiny animals or certain visual effects and stopped as if in front of an invisible wall.
In addition, all animals now spawn as usual again, and the filter options when sorting your mission postings in the camp are no longer reset automatically.
Last but not least, a text error has been corrected: the description of the item “Sigil of Valor” incorrectly stated that the item can also be equipped by the Iron Eagle and the Phoenix. This is not true and has been removed from the text.
In a compact overview, the complete, official changes from Hotfix 1.10.01 look like this:
- Stability: Fixed an issue where the game would occasionally crash while teleporting through Abyssal Nexuses or during combat.
- Wyvern breeding: Fixed a crash when hatching eggs near the Wyvern Cradle.
- Collision: Fixed a bug that could block small animal movements and certain effects.
- Game world: Fixed a bug where some animals were not spawning in the world.
- UI/Menus: Filter categories no longer reset themselves when sorting mission postings.
- Localization: An incorrectly Korean system message when reaching a certain altitude on a Wyvern is now displayed in the correct language.
- Items: Corrected incorrect description for the item “Seal of Valor” (Iron Eagle and Phoenix were incorrectly listed as compatible).
Meanwhile, the next update for “Crimson Desert” should be expected next week. Just a few days ago, the makers presented a roadmap that runs until September numerous improvements in prospect presents – including a revision of the often criticized story.
And perhaps the best news of the last few days: one too Story expansion is already in development. However, further details are not expected until autumn.
“Crimson Desert” has been available since March 19, 2026 for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and the PC.
