Now it is finally clear when the film will be released in German cinemas!

Crunchyroll has recently confirmedthat “Detective Conan Film 29: The Fallen Angel of the Highway” will celebrate its cinema premiere in Germany on August 25, 2026. In addition, the date also applies to Austria and the German-speaking part of Switzerland. Incidentally, Crunchyroll is working with Sony Pictures Entertainment for the theatrical release of the successful anime film.

We can confirm that “Detective Conan: The Fallen Angel of the Highway” will be released in German cinemas both with a German dubbing and in the original Japanese version with German subtitles.

In the 29th “Detective Conan” film, the Goddess of the Wind faces off against the fallen angel

In what is now the 29th “Detective Conan” anime film, Conan, Ran, Kogoro and their friends travel to Kanagawa for the motorcycle festival there. On the way, however, a mysterious black motorcycle races past them at a hellish pace, pursued by traffic police officer Chihaya Hagiwara, the “Goddess of the Wind”. A little later, a state-of-the-art police motorcycle, called “Angel,” will be presented at the venue. This has striking similarities to the black motorcycle.

As the mysterious black motorcycle continues to cause all sorts of chaos, it is soon given the nickname “Lucifer”. As the police continue their hunt, Hagiwara’s memories of her late brother and one of his colleagues begin to surface. Ultimately, in “The Fallen Angel of the Highway” there is a showdown between the “Goddess of the Wind” and the fallen angel.

“Detective Conan Film 29: The Fallen Angel of the Highway” was created by the studio TMS Entertainment (“Dr. Stone”). Directed by Takahiro Hasui (“Mob Psycho 100 III”) from a screenplay by Takahiro Okura. Over the course of his career, Okura has contributed the script to various episodes of the anime series and films in the franchise. Meanwhile, Yugo Kanno (“Psycho-Pass”) composed the music.



As already mentioned at the beginning, the 29th anime film in the “Detective Conan” series was released in Japan on April 10, 2026 – and was extremely successful! More than 2.3 million cinema tickets were sold in the first three days. “The Fallen Angel of the Highway” has set a new franchise record! The film has now grossed 12.76 billion yen (via Crunchyroll). This corresponds to around 68.8 million euros.

“Detective Conan Film 29: The Fallen Angel of the Highway” will premiere in German cinemas on August 25, 2026. The anime film starts with both a German dubbing and the original Japanese version with German subtitles.
