A brand new trailer for “Clockwork Revolution” provides fresh insights into inXile’s steampunk role-playing game and further narrows down the release period. There is also final certainty for PS5 owners – but this is likely to cause disappointment for many RPG fans.
After the last trailer „Clockwork Revolution“ After the new project from the RPG experts at inXile (“Wasteland 3”) had been pretty quiet for a good year, today they returned with fresh image material as part of the big Xbox Games Showcase.
On top of that, the release has been narrowed down further: The promising steampunk role-playing game is scheduled to be released in 2027. But PS5 players have to be strong now.
After RPG fans had recently hoped for a port, Microsoft today made it clear that “Clockwork Revolution” – as well „Gears of War: E-Day“ – as permanent Xbox exclusive title will appear. This means that a PS5 release is finally off the table.
A robbery gone wrong and the hunt for the chronometer
Meanwhile, the new trailer titled “The Heist” strikes a slightly different tone than the previous material. Although the game still doesn’t skimp on its pompous Victorian aesthetic, this time a pinch of humor – as we already know from inXile – comes to the fore.
The focus of the new video is the crew around protagonist Morgan Vanette, the so-called Rotten Row Hooligans – Ulysses, Nazim, Erasmus, Hazel and Anne. After everything that could go wrong goes wrong during a robbery, Morgan is thrown back in time amid the chaos by the flying drone Prentice.
He discovers the chronometer – the device that forms the foundation of the entire game and makes time travel possible in the first place.
The Butterfly Effect: When companions die suddenly
As game director Chad Moore told him Xbox Wire emphasizes, “Clockwork Revolution” is intended to transfer the extreme freedom of choice of classic, isometric role-playing games into the first-person perspective. The heart of the gameplay: the so-called butterfly effect.
Specifically, this means: Whoever pulls the strings of history in the past drastically changes the present. This not only affects the appearance of the districts, but above all the characters.
Your own hooligan colleagues are not classic companions who stubbornly follow you around. Instead, they lead their own lives. And due to interventions in the past, crew members can suddenly find themselves rich, impoverished, hostile or simply dead when they return to the present.
Time manipulation as a weapon in battle
Aside from the story and the profound dialogues, the time travel feature will also be effective in the battles in which “Clockwork Revolution” presents itself as a real shooter.
Among other things, the trailer introduced the “Displace” ability, which can be used to instantly reposition objects in space. This can be used, for example, to clear blocked paths or to throw an explosive barrel into the middle of a group of enemies.
You are also supported in the fights by the drone Prentice, who has her own skill tree and enables completely new perspectives on the game world.
Although the release period has now been narrowed down further, we still don’t have an exact date. According to Moore, the team is working hard to complete it and can’t wait for fans to play the game.
Maybe it will happen in the first half of 2027. But then only on the Xbox Series X/S and the PC, as is now clear.

The next chapter in the “A Plague Tale” universe has a date. A new trailer for “Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy” shows what awaits players on the island of the Minotaur – and also what role the heroine Sophia’s past plays.
Fans of the “A Plague Tale” series had to wait a long time for news about the announced spin-off. Now a fresh trailer not only provides new game scenes, but also the date on which Sophia’s journey begins.
„Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy“ will be released on August 27, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The title can be accessed in the PlayStation Store Wish list can be packed.
The prequel to A Plague Tale: Requiem
The story of Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy takes place 15 years before the events of A Plague Tale: Requiem. The focus is on Sophia, a young marauder who is looking for answers to questions about her own past. Their search leads them to the island of the Minotaur.
There she is targeted by an army from which she has to repeatedly escape. On her way, Sophia crosses dangerous areas and solves puzzles. Little by little she uncovers the background to an old curse and discovers its connection to the island’s myths. The story expands the world of “A Plague Tale” with new characters and settings and sheds light on other aspects of the Macula.
The trailer provides the release date. The game is also coming to PS5.
Sophia is already known to those familiar with the series. In 2022’s “A Plague Tale: Requiem,” she supported siblings Amicia and Hugo as a captain. The macula, in turn, is the mysterious disease that was closely linked to Hugo and the rat plagues in the predecessors.
Fights, jumps in time and a Minoan sphere
The trailer for “Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy” also provides an overview of the game mechanics. In fights against human opponents, Sophia relies on parries, melee attacks and evasive maneuvers. Stealth and pursuit passages are also part of the gameplay, in which an unknown threat plays a central role.
More from the Xbox Games Showcase:
A special feature is the change between two eras: Sophia’s present and the ancient Minoan period are playfully connected, the events of both time periods intertwine. A Minoan sphere that can be used to manipulate light helps explore the island. With her, Sophia collects clues and cracks the game’s puzzles.

After a leak at Walmart indicated a possible PS5 version of “Gears of War: E-Day”, an insider caused a real setback: the planned PlayStation implementation had been canceled. However, an extremely reliable leaker now provides a glimmer of hope.
Just before the big one Xbox Games Showcase This evening the rumor mill is on fire „Gears of War: E-Day“ ablaze – more precisely, the rumored PS5 version of the dark third-person shooter.
A product page for the upcoming prequel briefly appeared on the website of the US supermarket chain Walmart, which listed not only the Xbox and PC version but also a port for the Sony console.
But shortly afterwards, industry expert and journalist Jeff Grubb spoke up and explained that the actually planned PS5 version of “Gears of War: E-Day” recently canceled again became. Now the most reliable leaker of all stepped in and shed further light on the matter.
Real product numbers and barcodes in the system
We are of course talking about billbil-kun, whose predictions are almost like official announcements due to his high hit rate. And like his Research have now revealed that the Walmart leak was by no means just a guess or a technical error on the part of the retailer.
The leaker was able to 100 percent verify that a real product reference (SKU) for a physical PS5 version of “Gears of War: E-Day” is stored in the system. What’s more: the game has even been assigned an official UPC identification code – the US equivalent of the European EAN barcode.
In plain language, this means: Microsoft had already pushed the PS5 version forward as part of its multiplatform offensive to such an extent that the data was officially transmitted to retailers.
Did Microsoft pull the emergency brake?
Despite its authenticity, billbil-kun cannot say with certainty whether the PS5 barcode has now been deleted or just put on hold for a later, delayed release. One thing is certain: Pre-orders for “Gears of War: E-Day” will start tonight after the showcase for Xbox and PC for $69.99.
If the PS5 version is actually off the table, as Grubb claimed, then billbil-kun’s discovery suggests that Microsoft probably pulled the emergency brake here at the proverbial last second.
But what also gives us hope: also the European one PEGI has recently given a PS5 version of “Gears of War: E-Day” an age rating. And classification is usually rarely done for titles that shouldn’t be published at all.
There should be clarity this evening: The big Xbox Games Showcase begins at 7 p.m. our time, while a detailed presentation on “Gears of War: E-Day” will follow immediately afterwards. Then not only the release date should be mentioned, but also what the real status of a PS5 version is.
From there, there should be more exciting news: As billbil-kun reports, the pre-orders for „Halo: Campaign Evolved“ be opened. A PS5 version has already been officially confirmed, but the leaker couldn’t find out whether the pre-orders will take place at the same time as the Xbox and the PC.
However, a physical version of the new edition of Master Chief’s first adventure is firmly planned for the PS5 and Xbox Series X, while the game will be offered on all platforms for 59.99 euros. Here too we should be smarter this evening.

Shortly before the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, a PS5 entry for “Gears of War: E-Day” appeared at a retailer. At the same time, a well-known insider spoke out with contrary information about the PlayStation version. Will the shooter be released for Sony’s console or not?
Less than 24 hours before Xbox Games Showcase 2026 Players discovered a placeholder entry for a PS5 version of “Gears of War: E-Day” on Walmart’s website. The find was quickly shared on social networks, among other things on Reddit. A little later, the product entry disappeared from the internet again.
The retailer quoted a price of $99.99 for the Standard Edition, which was obviously a placeholder. The page also contained three bullet points labeled “Placeholder 1”, “TBD 2” and “TBD 3”. There are many indications that Walmart published the entry by mistake. Can PS5 owners be happy? The story doesn’t end here.
Insider Jeff Grubb: PS5 version has been canceled
While the Walmart post gave some players hope that an announcement would be made soon, Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb came forward with conflicting information. In the latest podcast he claimed just a few hours before the Xbox Games Showcase that Microsoft had canceled a planned PlayStation implementation.
“Gears of War E-Day was originally supposed to come out on the PS5. That has now been done. That just happened. That was a decision that was made recently,” said Grubb. Accordingly, “Gears of War: E-Day” will probably only be released for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Grubb suspected that the new Xbox leadership under Asha Sharma may have made the decision. After taking office, Sharma announced that she would reconsider Xbox’s exclusivity policy.
A few days ago, in an interview with Bloomberg, she also said that a platform “must offer exclusive content and services”. If Grubb’s assumption is correct, abandoning the PS5 version would be one of them first difficult decisions under their leadership. But would it also be a decision that would be financially profitable?
Official information will follow at the Xbox Games Showcase
Microsoft announced „Gears of War: E-Day“ at the Xbox Games Showcase 2024, but did not name any platforms at the time. A release for PC and Xbox Series X/S was expected. After Microsoft expanded its multiplatform strategy and, among other things, brought “Gears of War: Reloaded” to the PS5, many players also thought a PS5 version of the prequel was possible.
Nothing has been officially confirmed yet. However, those interested don’t have to wait long: The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 takes place today, June 7th, from 7 p.m.
Immediately afterwards there will be a direct presentation of “Gears of War: E-Day” with further details about the upcoming prequel. By then it should be clear whether the Walmart entry was a first indication of a PlayStation version or just a meaningless placeholder, perhaps for promotional purposes.

“Exodus”, which many fans already consider to be the spiritual successor to “Mass Effect”, is shown in detail for the first time in an almost 20-minute gameplay video. The images focus, among other things, on the profound oath system and show why the controversial time extension has been given the all-clear.
While „Mass Effect 5“ It will probably be a while yet to come, says “Exodusalready a top-class alternative in the starting blocks. The sci-fi role-playing game from Archetype Entertainment is already considered the intellectual heir to the legendary BioWare franchise.
No wonder: Archetype has a lot of veterans who have already achieved milestones like this „Mass Effect“-Trilogy or even „Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic“ have shaped. A certain similarity can hardly be denied.
That did too the first gameplay clearly, which was presented last March. And after there have only been brief insights in the last few weeks, yesterday evening there was a detailed, almost 20-minute presentation of “Exodus” for the first time as part of the Future Games Show.
Paladin or Immortal: The new moral system
One of the highlights of “Exodus”: the so-called oath system, which acts as a spiritual successor to the moral system (Exemplary/Apostate) from the “Mass Effect” series. But instead of simple black and white painting, “Exodus” relies on two philosophical directions that already play a role in character creation:
Paladin: Represents virtue, protection of the weak and moral integrity.
Immortal: Embodyes pure ambition, focus on the mission goal and pragmatic, often ruthless decisions.
As game director Chris King explained, alignment not only influences dialogue options – Paladins are better at convincing people, Immortals are more likely to intimidate – but also directly controls the skill tree. Certain abilities and upgrades for the Alien Tech Gauntlet are only unlocked by extreme movement in one direction.
“There will be rewards that only come from being on the same page,” King said. “But we also have exclusive bonuses for players who choose a hybrid gray zone philosophy.”
Fast-paced combat and modular weapons
In addition, there were of course plenty of fights to see, which left a very fast-paced impression. Main character Jun Aslan uses his alien glove not only in battle to manifest shields and blades, but also for locomotion. With an integrated grappling hook, he pulls over abysses, which gives third-person battles a noticeable verticality.
Another highlight of the demo: the Recycler, the modular main weapon, which can switch between three different fire modes during ongoing combat and is therefore suitable for every situation:
Repeater-Modus: Rapid, continuous fire for medium range.
Shredder-Modus: Massive close-range penetration, similar to a shotgun.
Piercer mode: Accurate, devastating single shots for long range.
Additionally, a new threat has been revealed with the Rot. This is a bioweapon virus from the powerful Celestials that threatens to wipe out what’s left of humanity. Accordingly, it’s up to Jun to plunder ancient alien ruins to find an antidote or technologies to fight back.
All-clear on time stretching
One point that has caused discussion in the community so far is the time calculation system. Because in “Exodus”, traveling at the speed of light ensures that decades pass in the homeland, while only days pass for the player. Accordingly, many fans feared a certain amount of time pressure.
But here King gave the all-clear: time dilation is not a dynamic gameplay mechanic that runs mercilessly in the background. If you move in the immediate sector and complete side tasks, the time remains stable.
Instead, the system only intervenes in a targeted manner, namely in large, story-relevant main missions in which you have to penetrate extremely deep into space. So when you return, the game confronts you with the drastic, aging changes to your homeworld – as a deliberate, emotional punch to the story.
The release of “Exodus” is currently planned for early 2027 for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and the PC. A specific date is still pending.

Bungie shows goodwill regarding the misunderstanding with the Deluxe Edition of “Marathon”. The free trial version will also be extended for a few days.
Bungie actually wanted to release Season 2 „Marathon“ turn things around again on Tuesday. Players should be wooed with new content, a “PvP Lite” mode and a free test week. However Server problems spoiled the start of the new season.
There was also a misunderstanding with the deluxe edition of the game in the PlayStation Store. Bungie has now commented on the problem and is accommodating.
Deluxe upgrade does not include the main game at all
Together with the free week for “Marathon” and some discount promotions, an unfortunate situation arose in which players were unable to use the shooter could supposedly be purchased at a reasonable price. The Deluxe Edition was offered to some users for 14 euros in the PlayStation Store.
However, there was a system error behind it. Because downloading the test version led the PlayStation Store to believe that users already owned the main game. Therefore, these players were shown a discounted upgrade of 13.99 euros for the Deluxe Edition. However, this does not contain the main game.
Sony responded and placed a warning about this situation on the “Marathon” shop page. Now the developers at Bungie have also spoken out. They stated that players who purchased the deluxe upgrade before Sony posted the issue’s notice on the store page will receive the base version of the game at no additional cost. This applies in addition to the contents of the Deluxe Edition.
Free week goes a little longer
In the future, however, the price for the upgrade in the PlayStation Store will only include the additional content of the Deluxe Edition and not the base game. This affects users who downloaded “Marathon” during the free week but did not purchase it.
The free trial version of the Extraction Shooter will also be extended for a few more days. Actually, the “Open Play Week” was only supposed to mark the start of the second season of “Marathon”. will be offered from June 2nd to 9th.
Due to the server issues that accompanied the start of the new content and trial, the free game time will be extended until June 11th. Players who log in during the free week will also receive 50 SILK. “We understand that the downtime has disrupted not only your gaming sessions but also your plans, and we would like to compensate you for this inconvenience,” Bungie said on X.

What feels like just a blink of an eye after the big update 1.10, Pearl Abyss is already pushing the next update for “Crimson Desert”. Hotfix 1.10.01 is now available for download, which irons out some nasty bugs that slipped into the game with yesterday’s patch.
Anyone who thought Pearl Abyss would turn out after the successful launch of „Crimson Desert“ – five million sales in less than four weeks – rest first, I made a big mistake. The South Korean studio releases update after update on a weekly basis, not only eliminating errors but also regularly adding new content to the game.
So it was only yesterday that the extensive Update 1.10 rolled outwhich, among other things, brought wyvern riding and new mini-games like pinball to Pywel. But as is often the case with such rapid replenishment, a few bugs tend to creep in.
But Pearl Abyss doesn’t let the community down here either – and today it immediately submitted hotfix 1.10.01.
No more crashes when teleporting and breeding
The most important point on the developers’ agenda was, of course, stability. After yesterday’s update, some players complained about sudden game crashes when they wanted to use fast travel across the abyssal nexuses or plunged into heated battles. But this cause of the crash was, according to the official patch notes completely fixed.
A very specific but extremely annoying error related to the new Wyvern feature is also history: Anyone who wanted to hatch eggs near the Wyvern cradle also often flew back to the dashboard of their console. The developers have also successfully driven out the error devil here.
A strange bug also affected those who had already swung onto the back of their newly grown dragon companion. If you reached a certain altitude with the Wyvern, an error message popped up – but in Korean. After the hotfix, the game now speaks the correct language again.
Annoying path blockages solved
In addition, the patch optimizes collision detection in the game world. Until now, it has occasionally happened that Kliff’s movement was completely blocked by actually tiny animals or certain visual effects and stopped as if in front of an invisible wall.
In addition, all animals now spawn as usual again, and the filter options when sorting your mission postings in the camp are no longer reset automatically.
Last but not least, a text error has been corrected: the description of the item “Sigil of Valor” incorrectly stated that the item can also be equipped by the Iron Eagle and the Phoenix. This is not true and has been removed from the text.
In a compact overview, the complete, official changes from Hotfix 1.10.01 look like this:
Stability: Fixed an issue where the game would occasionally crash while teleporting through Abyssal Nexuses or during combat.
Wyvern breeding: Fixed a crash when hatching eggs near the Wyvern Cradle.
Collision: Fixed a bug that could block small animal movements and certain effects.
Game world: Fixed a bug where some animals were not spawning in the world.
UI/Menus: Filter categories no longer reset themselves when sorting mission postings.
Localization: An incorrectly Korean system message when reaching a certain altitude on a Wyvern is now displayed in the correct language.
Items: Corrected incorrect description for the item “Seal of Valor” (Iron Eagle and Phoenix were incorrectly listed as compatible).
Meanwhile, the next update for “Crimson Desert” should be expected next week. Just a few days ago, the makers presented a roadmap that runs until September numerous improvements in prospect presents – including a revision of the often criticized story.
And perhaps the best news of the last few days: one too Story expansion is already in development. However, further details are not expected until autumn.
“Crimson Desert” has been available since March 19, 2026 for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and the PC.

The Summer Game Fest 2026 really rocked the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles last night. Although the live broadcast for the German audience didn’t start until 11 p.m., staying awake was definitely worth it for many gaming fans.
The presenter duo Geoff Keighley and Lucy James whipped up their usual dense program on the screen, which finally revealed the many announcements. From real world premieres to spectacular gameplay scenes to long-awaited updates from well-known publishers, everything was there.
In this large overview article we have summarized all the highlights of the show for you.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation
Square Enix is using the grand finale of the Summer Game Fest to the last act of the big new edition to reveal. Although a previous leak prevented the big surprise, this in no way diminished the community’s anticipation. The role-playing game will be released under the name “Final Fantasy 7 Revelation” in spring 2027.
There was a little surprise on the platforms: The publisher is releasing the title simultaneously for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Switch 2.
In addition to the familiar heroes and locations such as Wutai, a first reveal trailer also shows the iconic villain Sephiroth and the legendary Ultima Weapon. In an additional video, the developers also confirmed the return of the popular airship Highwind, with which players can freely explore the open world and travel back to places they have already visited.
Resident Evil Veronica
Right at the beginning of the show, Capcom causes a loud sigh of relief and great cheers in the community. With the official announcement of the remake of “Resident Evil: Code: Veronica” The persistent rumors that were circulating in the run-up to the trade fair are coming true. After the new edition of the Dreamcast classic from 2000 had been on players’ wish lists for years, the publisher finally got things done. The project is being realized by the experienced team that was already responsible for the successful remakes of the second and fourth parts.
A first atmospheric trailer provides a brief look at the modernized horror experience. The plot sends protagonist Claire Redfield directly into the clutches of the Umbrella Corporation in search of her brother Chris, whereupon she finds herself stranded on a dark island. The developers are using the in-house engine for the ambitious project to completely renew the outdated gameplay of the original. The rough time frame for publication is 2027, which will give players a bit of a wait.
Stellar Blade Blood Rain
The developers of SHIFT UP announced the Sequel to “Stellar Blade” to. The sequel remains in the same dystopian world, but has a new protagonist. An almost four-minute long reveal trailer also provides first impressions of the fresh setting, which is reminiscent of a traditional Chinese city.
While the studio is still holding back on plot details and only promises a continuation of the well-known events, the video material already shows clear differences. The new heroine largely forgoes the classic sword fighting of her predecessor and instead covers her enemies with devastating punches. This dynamic change in fighting style will result in significant differences compared to its predecessor.
Alien Isolation 2
The British development studio Creative Assembly breaks the long silence about the successor to his horror milestone from 2014. The unpredictable behavior of the xenomorph, which was realized in the first part by a revolutionary AI, should also offer thrills again in the new offshoot. The brief glimpse marks the project’s first sign of life since its official announcement in fall 2024.
Although the moving footage is extremely compact with a running time of just 25 seconds, it immediately conveys the usual oppressive atmosphere. The scene shown presents a mechanical sliding door whose status light changes from red to green, immediately evoking memories of the narrow corridors of the Sevastopol. This time, however, the path does not lead into the next dark room of the space station, but instead reveals a completely rainy outdoor area. This visual shift suggests that the fight for survival will transport players to completely new locations.
Cuphead 2 & Spin-off
Studio MDHR brings the players an unexpected double act and announces two new projects based on his iconic cup heroes. The biggest long-term news concerns the development of a full-fledged sequel that will continue the 1930s cartoon style. Since the ambitious project is still in a very early development phase, those responsible decided not to present gameplay scenes. Instead, the announcement focused on the naked knowledge of the sequel’s existence.
The real sensation on stage was the unveiling of the spin-off “Mighty Cuphead Adventure,” which was presented using real hand puppets. This offshoot radically breaks with the familiar look and instead relies on an authentic 8-bit pixel look. A smaller team developed the game under the technical restrictions of the original Sega Master System hardware from the 1980s. Players control Cuphead and Mugman through classic arcade levels, encountering familiar bosses in a new retro look. Concrete release dates are still missing for both titles, but the pixel adventure is firmly planned for PC and modern consoles.
Blood Message
Around a year after the announcement, the single-player blockbuster “Blood Message” is back with a gripping story trailer back. The action-adventure developed by Studio 24 takes players to Tang Dynasty China. The focus is on a nameless messenger who travels 1,600 kilometers from Dunhuang to Chang’an with his son to deliver a world-shattering message. While concrete release dates are still missing, publisher NetEase is promising a detailed presentation of real gameplay today.
TMNT: The Last Ronin
Three years after the announcement of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin,” a new teaser breaks the silence and reveals a real surprise. The action game, originally set by Black Forest Games, was handed over to the Japanese action specialists PlatinumGames. There is also a change on the publisher side: Instead of THQ Nordic, the newly founded Paramount Games Studio is taking over distribution. The dark adventure about the last surviving turtle marks the first major title under the media group’s new label.
Guild Wars 3
ArenaNet is breaking with a long-standing tradition and canceling a “Guild Wars” spin-off for the PS5 for the first time to. The jump to home consoles should help inspire an even larger community for the next big chapter in the saga. The MMORPG is set in the legendary Orr region a thousand years before the original game and promises an innovative game world. According to studio boss Colin Johanson, the developers want to modernize the genre while respecting players’ time. They don’t want to miss out on proven strengths such as extensive character customization and an in-depth skill system.
Crossfire
Studio That’s No Moon unveils debut project “Crossfire” – a story-driven action game, which is a bit reminiscent of “The Last of Us”. In a pessimistic world filled with greed, two warring operators are forced to work together for their very survival. The partnership, which is characterized by deep moral tensions, repeatedly requires the players to make momentous decisions. In terms of gameplay, the title relies on an innovative “Adaptive Cover” system that combines cover, movement and stealth mechanics.
Gen Atlas
Fumito Ueda reveals the final name of his new work “Gen Atlas”. The open world action adventure developed by genDESIGN captures the melancholic style of the “Shadow of the Colossus” makers and throws players without memory onto a deserted planet. Amidst endless plains, abandoned complexes and colossal buildings, you have to explore the remains of a huge secret. The cinematic single-player title will be released at an unknown date for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via the Epic Games Store.
Gundam Rogue Orbit
Bandai Namco uses the big stage for a bold reinterpretation of his iconic giant robot brand. The title takes a completely new direction and introduces a fresh timeline that allows newcomers to enter the sci-fi universe. In the role of the elite pilot RE-X, the players take over the cockpit of the highly mobile combat robot Gundam Helix. Together with a diverse group of unsung soldiers, the aim is to confront a previously unknown threat to humanity. In terms of play, the studio promises extremely fast-paced close combat and explosive battles.
Clutch
The newly founded studio Maverick Games, led by former “Forza Horizon 5” lead developer Mike Brown, breaks with classic racing game conventions. The trailer grants first insights into the open, varied game world the French Riviera. Away from typical festival scenarios, a dark campaign penned by “Skins” co-creator Jamie Brittain unfolds. It’s about the talented pilot Theo Martial and his sister Cass, who compete in the prestigious racing series “Riviera 1000”. They quickly become entangled in a dangerous double life. The platforms confirmed are PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Mafia: The Old Country – Man of Honor
Almost a year after the release, Hangar 13 and 2K Games announced “Man of Honor“ a major story expansion. The atmospheric reveal trailer reveals a historical encounter: Protagonist Enzo Favara meets the young Ennio Salieri in wintry Sicily in 1905. As a proven soldier of the Torrisi family, Enzo and Cesare are given the mission to support Salieri, who has just been released from prison. After his release, this “man of honor” resorts to brutal violence to reclaim his rightful territory in Valle Dorata.
Monster Hunter Wilds Ascendance
After the continuous updates since its release, Capcom is giving its action role-playing game a treat the first major expansion called “Ascendance”. The ambitious add-on is confirmed for 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The development team is continuing the tradition of massive previous expansions. The next big live stream is already approaching. Tomorrow, Sunday, Microsoft is hosting its big showcase:
The large selection of top-class premieres makes it clear: The Summer Game Fest 2026 is by far one of the most spectacular gaming shows this year. Thanks to these exciting prospects, the coming months promise a lot to talk about and a full wish list.
After the first trailer for “Alien: Isolation 2”, Creative Assembly is now providing the first details. Accordingly, the sequel breaks with a tradition of its predecessor, while the makers promise an even nastier alien AI.
The end of April was just in time for Alien Day the first teaser trailer to „Alien: Isolation 2“ released after the horror sequel was officially released by Sega in October 2024 announced had been.
Last night it finally happened as part of the Summer Game Fest the first real trailerwhich provided an atmospheric foretaste of the upcoming game, but at the same time left fans with many question marks. But fortunately the first concrete details are now available.
Welcome to Kurosaki Station: The New Hunting Ground
Accordingly, fan favorite Amanda Ripley from the first film will pass on the scepter. In “Alien: Isolation 2” we will slip into the role of a completely new, as yet nameless protagonist. And the initial situation will also be fundamentally different from the destroyed Sevastopol space station.
The atmospheric description reveals:
„On a distant colony planet, an exploration team comes across the wreckage of a mysterious aircraft. A member of the team sets out to investigate the crash more closely. And suddenly pure horror descends on the settlement. No place is safe anymore. So begins a desperate journey for survival and escape as the deadly creature hunts them mercilessly.”
The setting is a remote Weyland-Yutani outpost called Kurosaki Station, battered by violent storms. This should make the gameplay significantly more vertical and varied than its predecessor. After all, you not only have to explore the narrow, claustrophobic corridors of the station, but also brave the merciless and stormy planetary surface.
The alien becomes even more intelligent – Al Hope promises pure terror
In order to have any chance in the deadly game of cat and mouse, you will have to resort to completely new tools, techniques and tactics. This is sorely needed, because Al Hope, Creative Director at Creative Assembly, promises an absolutely uncompromising survival experience.
“Our dedicated survival team at Creative Assembly has worked hard to create a new, evolved isolation experience that continues the legacy of the Alien series, making the eponymous killer more intelligent, the environment harsher, and the chances of survival lower,” said the director.
And during his appearance on stage at Summer Game Fest, Hope made it clear: “It’s been 12 years since we released the first Alien: Isolation, and we’re continuing what we started. We’re creating an authentic new chapter that builds on that core Isolation experience – escaping the terrifying, unkillable and relentless alien.”
It is not yet known exactly when “Alien: Isolation 2”, which is technically based on the modern Unreal Engine 5, will be released. What is certain, however, is that it will be released for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Switch 2.
If you like, you can now add the horror title to your wish list – for example im PS Store – set.
