The announcement of “Guild Wars 3” makes the hearts of die-hard fans beat faster. This news marks an important milestone for the MMORPG series as the title makes the jump from PC to PlayStation 5.

A thousand years before the first part

The action takes place in the Orr region a thousand years before the original game. This vast wilderness is deeply imbued with the magic of the world and is inhabited by the so-called Vael spirits. Such natural creatures embody the life force of the lush landscape. Various guilds, however, fight for the valuable resources of this untouched border area.

The focus is on each player’s journey with their own Seeker, who acts as powerful mount serves. This creature acts as a direct link to the spirits of Orr and carries adventurers safely through the expansive open world. Because the Vael spirits vary in size and influence, the environment promises a dynamic experience in a vibrant environment.

Players take on the role of a Vaelwarden dedicated to protecting the nature spirits and the land. Known elements like extensive character customization and a in-depth skill system enable individual adventures. Participants build relationships with other Vaelwarden and the inhabitants of the world to brave dangers together in this colorful online experience.

The Combat system from “Guild Wars 3” relies on fluid movements and momentum that can be precisely controlled with both controller and keyboard. By cleverly changing positions, players convert their speed directly into higher damage values against their opponents.

Interested players can already look forward to autumn 2027, when the first beta test is planned. Incidentally, the online role-playing game appears on the PC via Steam.

The Blood of Dawnwalker: Surprising trailer reveals gigantic vampire saga up to the modern day –

The Blood of Dawnwalker: Surprising trailer reveals gigantic vampire saga up to the modern day -

At the Summer Game Fest, the “The Witcher” veterans not only presented a new trailer for “The Blood of Dawnwalker”, but also dropped an absolute bombshell: main character Coen will accompany us through the centuries – into the modern age.

With „The Blood of Dawnwalker“ the former makers of „The Witcher 3“ an extremely promising dark fantasy role-playing game in the pipeline under the banner of their new studio Rebel Wolves. And as part of the Summer Game Fest, the title was presented in a fresh trailer.

But that wasn’t all: a second video gave a spectacular glimpse of the future of the franchise and caused a real surprise that probably caught many fans off guard. The developers are planning their vampire saga across generations.

Vampire in the Modern Age

So the teaser threw us into a completely unexpected scenario without warning and showed Coen, the well-known protagonist of “The Blood of Dawnwalker”, visibly marked by the centuries, in the middle of a modern apartment in the 21st century.

Only then did the video switch to the actual gameplay of the upcoming game, which takes us to the year 1347 in the fall. One thing is certain: Rebel Wolves is not planning a single game, but rather a gigantic “Dawnwalker” saga that spans epochs and continents.

Since such a stylistic break can cause confusion at first, game director and studio co-founder Konrad Tomaszkiewicz spoke up immediately after the show to explain the radical approach and at the same time give the all-clear:

“I have the feeling that today’s presentation may have surprised many of you who did not expect Coen’s saga to move into the modern era. However, I would like to emphasize that each part of the series will be a standalone game with its own story, without narrative cliffhangers, unresolved storylines or time travel ideas,” the game director clarified.

It continues: “Since the inception of Rebel Wolves, we have made it abundantly clear that we aim for a self-contained story for The Blood of Dawnwalker. Now, as we approach the release of the first chapter, we wanted to shed a little more light on our larger perspective and tease where the story ultimately leads.”

“Other eras, other places and other cultures”

For all fans of classic dark fantasy, this means in plain language: “The Blood of Dawnwalker” will take place exclusively in the 14th century – without sci-fi elements, time travel or unsatisfactory story gaps.

This was also made clear by the second trailer, which is dedicated to Coen’s origin story in the plague-infested, fictional Carpathian valley Vale Sangora. There he takes on the brutal vampire lord Brencis in order to save his family. How the story ends is determined by your own actions. But as we now know, Coen inevitably ends up in the future.

Given the narrative potential of the franchise, narrative director Jakub Szamalek is also enthusiastic. Finally, you can use the half-vampire hero’s immortality to explore entirely new historical eras, cultures and locations around the world in future games.

“The next installments of his saga will bring new stories and new characters, but they will be set in different eras, places and cultures. Writing the story for projects of this scale is an incredibly fulfilling endeavor,” said Szamalek.

However, attentive story fans should keep their eyes peeled for Coen’s first adventure: “And although the conflict between Coen and Brencis will reach its conclusion in The Blood of Dawnwalker, attentive players will certainly come across breadcrumbs that are related to the overarching plot of the saga.”

“The Blood of Dawnwalker” will be released on September 3, 2026 for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

Minecraft Dungeons 2: Release date & price leaked

Minecraft Dungeons 2: Release date & price leaked

After “Minecraft Dungeons 2” was announced in mid-March, everything indicated that the final release date would be revealed on one of the big gaming stages – presumably the Summer Game Fest or the Xbox Games Showcase. But the Nintendo eShop got ahead of everyone.

When Mojang and Double Eleven came as a complete surprise last March „Minecraft Dungeons 2“ announced, the joy among the fans was huge. After all, after the final update of the first part, the franchise became quiet for years.

However, those responsible at the time failed to provide what was probably the most important detail: the specific release date. However, after the first age rating appeared recently, there were many indications that the publication date would probably be on Summer Game Fest or within the framework of Xbox Games Showcase should be announced.

But you don’t have to wait that long anymore: the release date for the sequel to the popular block dungeon crawler has already been set.

It starts in September – at a fair price

Like the well-known X account Wario64 discovered, the product page was apparently activated prematurely „Minecraft Dungeons 2“ im Nintendo eShop reveal the final release date.

Accordingly, Hack & Slay will appear on September 29, 2026. As is already known, the release will take place for almost all current platforms. In addition to the PC, the Xbox Series X/S and the PC5, Nintendo’s two Switch consoles are also served.

In addition, “Minecraft Dungeons 2” will also land on Xbox Game Pass on day one, so subscribers can jump straight into the adventure at no additional cost.

However, if you want to buy the game, you don’t have to dig too deep into your pockets: the eShop page lists a price of 29.99 US dollars, which could probably be converted into 29.99 euros in this country. Microsoft is staying true to itself and is also offering the second part of the spin-off in the mid-price segment.

A new threat is emerging

In addition to the release date and price, the eShop entry also provides the first details about the story of the sequel. So players can look forward to a much more ambitious adventure than in the successful debut from 2020.

The description reads: “A new threat looms over the world of Minecraft Dungeons. A hero’s work is never done! Unrest is brewing, and the world faces a threat unlike any other. A new danger is rising in power, ready to sweep across the land and unleash chaos.

Return to the world of Minecraft Dungeons in an all-new action-RPG adventure – packed with risky encounters, thrilling challenges and never-before-seen locations as you set out to save a world in crisis. Will you and your allies prevail against the forces of evil and save the day once again?”

Aside from the story, the sequel of course relies on the tried and tested principle: classic action RPG gameplay from an iso perspective, gripping boss fights and freedom of play. There are no rigid character classes – the play style is defined solely by the equipment and enchantments.

You can fight either alone or in exciting co-op mode for up to four players – locally on the couch or online via crossplay.

The first gameplay trailer for “Minecraft Dungeons 2”, which visually underlines the leak of the release date, should finally follow as part of the big showcases – either tonight or on Sunday.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush: Leak anticipates the sum game fest

The iconic toy racers are apparently about to make their next big gaming appearance: Originally planned for the opening show of the Summer Game Fest this evening, a reliable leaker has already provided all the details and revealed “Hot Wheels Infinite Rush” in advance.

With „Hot Wheels Unleashed“ and the sequel released in October 2023, Milestone scored two real hits. The Italian studio managed to perfectly combine the nostalgic feeling of the well-known toy cars with a fast-paced and extremely satisfying arcade driving experience.

And now the next big appearance of the cult speedster is apparently in the starting blocks. Although the official unveiling was only supposed to take place this evening on the stage of the Summer Game Fest, a well-known and extremely reliable leaker has thrown a huge spanner in the works for showmaster Geoff Keighley – and „Hot Wheels Infinite Rush“ already revealed.

The racing game experts from Milestone return

Probably the most important news: After being published last October and tailored more towards a younger audience „Hot Wheels Let’s Race: Ultimate Speed“ from developer Bamtang Games went down a bit, the racing game experts from Milestone are returning for “Infinite Rush”.

This is going out now exclusive information from the leaker Billbill-kun, who is known for his extremely high hit rate. It is still unclear why the new title is not called “Unleashed 3”.

However, there are already rumors in the rumor mill as to whether Milestone is taking new approaches to gameplay this time – for example, an open-world approach or fresh gameplay modes that go beyond the classic lap races would be conceivable.

Release in September at “Mid Price”

Fans don’t have to wait too long until the release of “Hot Wheels Infinite Rush”: The release is planned for September 24, 2026.

Just as pleasing as the short waiting time is the look at the price: the racing game will be launched as a so-called “mid-price” title. According to billbil-kun, 49.99 US dollars are due, which experience shows that in this country this is converted one-to-one into 49.99 euros.

And the insider is already sure about the platforms. Accordingly, “Hot Wheels Infinite Rush” will be released for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and the Nintendo Switch 2. Conversely, this means: Milestone is leaving the old generation of consoles behind for the first time, which could indicate a significant technical leap.

The official announcement including a trailer with first gameplay insights is expected this evening. Let’s start with the big one Summer Game Fest opening show at 11 p.m. our time.

Jurassic Park Survival: After a long radio silence

Jurassic Park Survival: After a long radio silence

Things have been worryingly quiet around “Jurassic Park: Survival” in recent months, so fans were already fearing the worst. But now Saber Interactive CEO Matt Karch is breaking the silence and providing an optimistic update on the current status of the dinosaur adventure.

The waiting time for solid information „Jurassic Park: Survival“ is like a real test of patience: as early as December 2023 announcedapart from a quick look behind the scenes and first gameplay snippets, there were no other real trailers, screenshots or other signs of life.

But as it now turns out, the radio silence was not due to a bumpy development at the responsible studio Saber Interactive, but rather to a mysterious, franchise-wide blockade by the rights holder Universal Pictures.

And since the waves in the background have now apparently calmed down, studio boss Matt Karch personally brought relief to the community.

Jurassic Park: Survival makes an “all-round solid impression”

In a recent interview with Game File They took advantage of the opportunity to get information directly from Karch about the current status of “Jurassic Park: Survival”. And the Saber CEO’s answer should definitely let the waiting fans breathe a sigh of relief.

“I’m pleased to say that JP Survival is in active development and appears to be solid overall,” said Matt Karch optimistically.

At the same time, the CEO also had a quick word about the racing game that was recently announced during the recent State of Play „Stuntman: Hollywood“which is also in development at Saber. Karch specifically emphasized that both this game and “Jurassic Park: Survival” would “look good.”

A mysterious blockage paralyzed the entire franchise

Karch’s update also shed light on the darkness of the past few months: The radio silence didn’t just affect “Jurassic Park: Survival”. Instead, a real communication blackout had fallen across the entire Dino franchise.

Even the brand’s official social media channels didn’t post a single post for over two months before reporting back on June 1st with a curt “We’re back in business.”

The ban went so far that Saber Interactive even blocked the planned “Jurassic Park” crossover content in the first trailer for “Stuntman: Hollywood”. wasn’t allowed to show. And other titles such as “Jurassic World Evolution 3” also experienced unforeseen content stops.

Karch was not given a specific reason for Universal’s blocking, but according to the publisher, the problem has now been completely solved.

“Jurassic Park: Survival”, which relies on a dense survival horror atmosphere and is very reminiscent of genre greats like “Alien: Isolation”, is still in development for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and the PC. However, a specific release date or release window is currently still pending.

Since the big opening show of the Summer Game Fest is already scheduled for this evening, there remains a glimmer of hope that there may finally be fresh insights into the adventure of InGen scientist Dr. Maya Joshi, who was left behind during the evacuation of Isla Nublar and now has to make her way through the ruins of the park alone.

God of War Laufeny: Is previous story knowledge necessary? Sony gives recommendation -

After the reveal of “God of War: Laufeny,” newcomers who had not played “God of War” before were left wondering whether previous knowledge of the story was necessary. Sony has now made a recommendation on this topic.

One of the highlights of this week’s State of Play was certainly the official unveiling of „God of War: Laufey“which includes the Santa Monica Studios a presentation lasting around 20 minutes presented in detail.

After players took on the role of Kratos in the previous “God of War” adventures, “Laufey” takes a new approach and puts Faye in the spotlight as a playable protagonist. Following the presentation at State of Play, they named Santa Monica Studios more details about the action title and went into detail about the playful implementation of “God of War: Laufeny”.

On the official website Sony also answered a question that was particularly posed by players who had little contact with the “God of War” series: Is previous knowledge of the history of the “God of War” saga necessary?

Or can “Laufey” be used by complete newcomers to the series without running the risk of missing important story aspects?

Independent adventure also suitable for newcomers

As Sony wrote, “God of War: Laufeny” is a completely new and independent adventure that can also be enjoyed by players who have not played any other “God of War” before.

In order to fully enjoy the world and its characters, the PlayStation makers recommend playing the two predecessors before “Laufey”.

Both published in 2018 „God of War“ as well as “God of War: Ragnarök” from 2022 are available for the PS5, PS4 and PC.

The detailed gameplay presentation this week showed that Faye as the protagonist is not the only innovation in “God of War: Laufeny”. In addition, the Santa Monica Studios team is again orienting itself more towards the classic “God of War” titles.

This is noticeable, among other things, in the fights, which are significantly faster and more dynamic than in the two predecessors. Over and beyond The jump button is also making a comeback.

God of War Laufeny: Is the era of Kratos over? Cory Barlog takes a stand on fan concernsGod of War Laufeny: Is the era of Kratos over? Cory Barlog takes a stand on fan concerns

“We wanted to build on the strengths of the modern God of War combat system, but at the same time we wanted to incorporate a little bit of that classic old-school God of War DNA,” said design director Denny Yeh, summarizing the team’s goals.

Sony has not yet revealed when “God of War: Laufeny” will be released. However, according to unconfirmed reports, there are some indications pointing to a release in 2027.

Switch 2: Drastic sales crash after price increase

0
Switch 2: Drastic sales crash after price increase

After the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S became more expensive, Nintendo is now following suit. In Japan, where the price increase for the Switch 2 has already come into effect, the receipt followed promptly.

As we know, the days when gaming hardware became cheaper over time are over – instead, prices are literally exploding.

Sony also recently felt the consequences: just last month they had a clear one Slump in PS5 delivery numbers while at the same time drastically reducing the sales forecast for the current 2026/2027 financial year corrected downwards.

On top of that, we only received news today that PS5 sales in the UK compared to the previous month dropped by a whopping 50 percent are. And now Nintendo is not spared either, as a look at Japan shows. Because that’s where it is Switch 2 price increasewhich was announced at the beginning of May, has been a reality since May 25th – and is leaving a clear mark.

Switch 2 sales in Japan: 87 percent minus week-on-week

Like the current data from the renowned Japanese magazine Famitsu for the period from May 25th to 31st, 2026 show, hardware sales of the Switch 2 have now literally collapsed.

While an impressive 247,880 consoles were sold in the week before the deadline, in the first week after the price increase there were just 31,751 units. This corresponds to a drastic decline of around 87 percent.

However, this crash does not come as a complete surprise. Recently things really started to happen panic buying: After Nintendo announced the price jump, Japanese fans stormed the stores and cleared the shelves.

Sales in the three weeks before the adjustment were consistently well over 200,000 devices per week. But now the market is saturated – and the remaining buyers are visibly cautious about the new price tag.

Upside down world and a forewarning for the West

No wonder: depending on the model, the prices of the Switch family in Japan have increased by 8,000 to 11,000 yen. Even the region-locked standard version of the Switch 2 was increased from 49,980 yen to 59,980 yen – a whopping 20 percent increase.

Particularly strange: This means that the Switch 2 is now more expensive than the digital model of the PS5, which currently sells for 55,000 yen. And the fact that a Nintendo console is priced higher than a stationary home console from Sony has practically never happened in this form in modern gaming history.

Even the original Switch models were hit hard by the price increase. Sales collapsed so sharply that even the Xbox Series X had to admit defeat last week.

The complete Famitsu hardware charts from Japan for the past week (including lifetime sales) are as follows:

  • Nintendo Switch 2 – 31,751 (Total: 5,865,213)
  • PS5 Digital Edition – 6,527 (Total: 1,302,820)
  • Nintendo Switch OLED – 4,162 (Total: 9,585,830)
  • Nintendo Switch Lite – 1,810 (Total: 6,972,953)
  • PS5 Pro – 1,479 (Total: 360,308)
  • Xbox Series X Digital Edition – 408 (Total: 31,544)
  • PS5 – 367 (Total: 5,919,834)
  • Xbox Series X – 304 (Total: 327,214)
  • Nintendo Switch – 229 (Total: 20,300,305)
  • Xbox Series S – 123 (Total: 342,219)

What is now being observed in Japan is likely to be a blueprint for what lies ahead in Europe and North America. Because in the West, the price increase for the Switch 2 will not come into effect until September 1, 2026. For us, the price of the console will officially climb from 469.99 euros to 499.99 euros.

For European gamers, this means: If you’re thinking about buying a Switch 2 anyway, it’s better to buy it in the summer months of June, July and August. It is quite possible that there will also be delivery bottlenecks in this country as September approaches.

Marathon: Free week causes 14 euro misunderstanding

Marathon: Free week causes 14 euro misunderstanding

“Marathon” is in the middle of Season 2, but instead of talking about the new content, players are currently talking about price chaos in the PS Store: A supposed deluxe bargain during the free trial turned out to be a nasty upgrade trap – and forced Sony to take action.

The second season of began this week „Marathon“ and should actually provide a boost with an atmospheric night map and an experimental PvE mode. And in order to attract new players to the servers, a free week was launched just in time for the start.

This means that Bungie’s extraction shooter can currently still be used completely free until June 9th play. But now the free trial is causing a lot of confusion and frustration in the community. The reason: What was supposed to be a bargain turned out to be a cost trap for many people.

A system error with consequences

The trouble was triggered by an unfortunate chain of discount campaigns, the free week and the system logic of the PS Store.

Anyone who downloaded the free trial version of “Marathon” incorrectly blocked the purchase option for the normal base game in the background. That’s why Sony’s digital shop assumes that you already own the game.

The result: Anyone who then selected the Deluxe Edition was not shown the regular price, but only the difference for an upgrade. And since “Marathon” is currently discounted by 30 percent to coincide with the start of the season, the price displayed in the store suddenly crashed to a measly and extremely tempting 13.99 euros.

And since the product description of the Deluxe Edition explicitly stated that the package included the main game, thousands of players sensed a classic pricing error and grabbed it immediately – believing that they had received the complete game for a fraction of the regular price of just under 60 euros.

Sony reacts and issues a clear warning

The catch: The buyers actually only purchased the additional digital content of the Deluxe Edition for their 14 euros – but not the permanent license for the main game. As soon as the free week ends on June 9th, these players will be faced with closed doors.

However, Sony has now noticed the problem and updated the description „Marathon“ im PS Store with an unmistakable warning. If you now open the deluxe edition of the game, you will read the following note:

“Please note: If you have already downloaded ‘Marathon’ during Open Play Week but have not yet purchased ‘Marathon’:

  • Purchasing this product grants access to the Deluxe Edition content only for the duration of Open Play Week. Afterwards, access to this content requires the purchase of the ‘Marathon’ Standard Edition.
  • The price shown reflects only the additional content of the Deluxe Edition, not the price of the Standard Edition.”

A warning that came too late for many players. Accordingly, tempers are running high on social media and in the “Marathon” subreddit. There is also increasing criticism as to why Bungie did not simply provide a separate demo client to avoid exactly such conflicts.

If you fell into the trap and invested the 14 euros incorrectly, you don’t have to bury your head completely in the sand. Since this is a demonstrable misunderstanding, PlayStation Support is currently accommodating, according to current reports.

Affected players can request a refund as long as they contact support directly – although Sony’s guidelines are actually stricter for downloads that have already started. For Bungie, however, the unfortunate situation comes at an absolutely inopportune time, as “Marathon” has been struggling since its launch at the beginning of March.

Xbox Games Showcase 2026: “A mountain of content”

Xbox Games Showcase 2026: “A mountain of content”

After Sony presented the State of Play, Microsoft followed suit on Sunday. And according to a well-known insider, Microsoft is launching a major counterattack with the Xbox Games Showcase: Fans can look forward to nothing less than one of the best events in recent years.

On Tuesday evening Sony invited to a new edition of State of Play and delivered a convincing program: In addition to plenty of gameplay „Marvel’s Wolverine“ or the world premiere of „Until Dawn 2“ cared above all „God of War Laufey“ for a successful surprise at the end of the show.

Accordingly, Microsoft is now under pressure to act, as it will be launching the big one next Sunday Xbox Games Showcase will refill. But if you believe a well-known insider, you can be happy. On June 7th at 7 p.m. our time, the presentation should deliver exactly what the fans want: a fireworks display of games.

“One of the best shows in years”: The forecast for the Xbox Games Showcase

So it was Windows Central journalist and industry expert Jez Corden who set the bar for Sunday’s Xbox Showcase in his latest Article now particularly high. Accordingly, viewers can look forward to “an absolute mountain of content” that will be shown for the first time.

He then added euphorically that it would be a show “that, in my opinion, could be remembered as one of the best Xbox showcase events in years.”

But what will be shown on Sunday evening? With CCO Matt Booty already confirming that the focus is on games that will be released within the next twelve months, Corden already has a few guesses.

“Long-term projects” like „The Elder Scrolls 6“ or „Fallout 5“ are therefore left out. However, an appearance by is considered certain „Fable“after the release date was most recently pushed back to February 2027. And also „Clockwork Revolution“the steampunk shooter from inXile is considered set after it was recently briefly listed on Game Pass.

Also seems like a safe candidate „Halo: Campaign Evolved“ to be. However, Corden isn’t sure whether Master Chief won’t be there on Friday Summer Game Fest as Microsoft may want to position the shooter more as a multiplatform title.

State of Decay 3 is said to have made the “AAA jump”.

In addition, after a long period of radio silence, something new is finally coming „State of Decay 3“ be shown. And according to Corden, fans can be happy – the zombie spectacle has finally made the “AAA leap”. He emphasized, “From what I’ve heard… it sounds like Undead Labs has really nailed the ‘AAA feel’ that was missing from State of Decay 2.”

Additionally, Corden tips that the story expansion too „Doom: The Dark Ages“ is shown, which has been a long time coming, but also one enormous scope should offer. Various Activision brands and one are also hotly traded „Fallout 3“-Remake, while Corden personally hopes for a new one „Banjo-Kazooie“ hopes.

It would also be a highlight „Marvel’s Blade“which has been around for years „Dishonored“-makers of Arkane is in development and there has hardly been anything to see about it so far. However, Corden suspects that a deeper insight might be a little too early.

As far as hardware is concerned, Microsoft had already made it clear that no news on Project Helix – i.e. the next Xbox – should be expected. But according to Corden, there is a good chance that the new Xbox Elite Controller 3 will be shown after the device has already been released a leak noticed by regulatory authorities.

It starts with the big Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday evening, June 7th, 2026, at 7 p.m. our time. Also don’t forget: There will be a direct afterwards „Gears of War: E-Day“which promises extensive insights into the dark shooter and will probably also reveal the release date and details about a possible PS5 version.

Rayman Legends Retold: Together with Astro Bot for the golden era? Ubisoft pursues these goals –

Rayman Legends Retold: Together with Astro Bot for the golden era? Ubisoft pursues these goals -

Following the announcement of “Rayman Legends Retold,” brand producer Loïc Gounon spoke in an interview about the future of the “Rayman” series. Games like “Astro Bot” could also play a crucial role for this.

With „Rayman Legends Retold“ Ubisoft announced this week a remake that has been revised graphically and in terms of content to the popular platformer from 2013.

This expands the hand-drawn 2D backgrounds of the original with fully-fledged 3D elements and also offers new content such as the “Cave of Trials”. In addition to “Rayman Legends Retold”, Ubisoft also confirmed an Enhanced Edition „Rayman Origins“ from 2011. But what does this all mean for the future of the “Rayman” series?

While the players, according to brand producer Loïc Gounon Don’t expect a remake of the first “Rayman” (1995).decision makers are already much more open to a possible 3D successor.

Ubisoft is thinking about a 3D comeback

In an interview with GamesRadar Gounon explained that titles like “Rayman Legends Retold” and other hits like „Astro Bot“ could ensure that the golden PS2 era of 3D platformers celebrates a comeback.

“We believe it may be time to return with more adventurous 3D Rayman games,” the brand producer continued.

“We’re starting with this project (Rayman Legends Retold). That’s kind of what we’re aiming for and what we want for Rayman. We also believe it’s a good addition, both for players and for the market.”

Even though nothing has been said about further 3D offshoots of the “Rayman” series, Gounon explained that the developers definitely want to continue the series. “That’s the plan! That will be the plan if everything goes well,” the producer replied when asked about further 3D “Raymans”.

“We’re putting together a new team and laying new foundations for the brand. That’s why our project – even if it’s more than just a remake – is partly just that. We have a solid foundation here that we are convinced is the right way to revitalize the brand.”

Sales figures decide the future

By saying that “a new 3D Rayman is the plan if everything goes well,” Gounon is probably referring to the fact that Ubisoft wants to wait for the sales figures for “Rayman Legends Retold” to decide whether and in what form the “Rayman” series will continue.
