In an interview with The Game Business, Ball talked about his first conversation with CEO Asha Sharma, where a very direct question came up about saving the brand.

“When I first sat down with Asha, she asked me, ‘Can this be fixed?'” Ball said. His response: “I’m a strategic optimist. I think it’s incredibly pessimistic to think that there’s a scenario that you can’t improve.”

Exactly how difficult the task is, what it requires and how long it takes are all separate questions for Ball. He got involved because he thought the goal formulated by Sharma was right and achievable.

Ball in his words: “How hard will it be? That’s another question. What will it take? That’s another question. How long will it take? These are all different questions, but I’m a strategic optimist. I joined the project because I thought what she told me about her goals was right and achievable.”
