How GameAndNews Rate Terminal Works | Aggregation & Verification Architecture

The Autonomous Aggregation Engine

The GameAndNews rate terminal continuously polls the public peer-to-peer (P2P) order books of five exchanges — Bybit, OKX, Bitget, Quidax and Luno — with quotes refreshed roughly every 60 seconds. No human edits the numbers: what you see is what merchants on each platform are actually offering at that moment, normalised into a single comparable format.

1. Order Book Normalisation

Every exchange structures its P2P market differently: different merchant names, order limits, payment methods and quote conventions. Our engine fetches the live buy and sell ladders from each venue and converts them into one standard view — price per USDT in Naira, with the merchant's minimum and maximum order limits preserved — so a quote from one platform can be compared honestly with a quote from another.

2. Understanding the Quotes

  • Buy rate: the Naira price you pay to acquire 1 USDT from a merchant — the liquidity "ask". The lowest buy quote across venues is the cheapest entry point at that moment.
  • Sell rate: the Naira price a merchant will pay you for 1 USDT — the liquidity "bid". The highest sell quote is the best exit at that moment.
  • Spread: the gap between buy and sell quotes, on one exchange or across two. Our calculators show this gap and let you deduct realistic fees before judging whether a difference is meaningful.

3. The Official-Rate Comparison

Alongside P2P quotes we display the Central Bank of Nigeria's official rate and the "parallel market premium" — the percentage by which street/P2P prices sit above the official peg. This gap is a widely watched indicator of demand pressure on the Naira and of how far market prices have drifted from the official window.

4. Zero Hidden Platform Markups

We do not trade, we do not route orders, and we do not add any margin, commission or markup to the quotes we display. The prices shown are the merchants' own public offers; if you choose to transact, you do so directly on the exchange, at that exchange's own price and terms.

Limitations You Should Know

  • Quotes are snapshots. P2P prices move constantly, and a displayed quote may be filled, withdrawn or repriced before you act on it.
  • Attractive headline rates often carry very small or very large order limits — the terminal shows those limits precisely so a quote can be judged for your size.
  • Aggregation depends on the exchanges' public feeds; if a venue's feed is delayed or down, its quotes may be stale or temporarily absent rather than estimated by us.
